Missions

The Business Development Executive will execute the sponsorship sales strategy for ASO U.K. Reporting directly to Director of Partnerships, the BDE will be responsible for building sales strategy and achieving sales targets

This role involves identifying sales opportunities within event rights packages, understanding brand interaction preferences, and engaging relevant brands. 

The ideal candidate will possess a sophisticated sales pitch, combining marketing empathy and sales expertise, with a good understanding of brand sponsorship dynamics.

1. Identify and generate new fee-paying partners to enhance the marketing platform of the portfolio of events. 

Examples of events : The Dragon Ride, Royal Windsor Triathlon, Manchester’s Half Marathon, Manchester’s Marathon, London Winter Run

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors for the biggest available sponsoring packages to either: some text
    • Generate autonomously new brand contracts through proactive outreach.
    • Facilitate the transition of high-value sponsorship leads to the CEO and Director of Partnerships for further negotiation and closure.
  • Develop proactive sales strategies and manage the new business pipeline.
  • Create and pitch sales decks and rights packages accurately positioning events to prospective partners.
  • Attend networking events to broaden and deepen network of contacts.
  • Understand the events and the rights to be able to position them accurately and positively to prospective partners.
  • Drive significant growth in sponsorship revenue for the organisation.

2. Manage a complete sales value chain, internally and externally. 

  • Work with the partners to help them understand the benefits of adding value to the participant experience.
  • Drafting of new partner contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
  • Build strong relationships with ASO commercial teams in Paris, Madrid and Frankfurt to generate cross-event opportunities in the group portfolio. 
  • Keep a commercial mind with a strong focus on ROI.
