METAL BOXE is a French company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of equipment and accessories for combat sports. 

Founded in 1987, METAL BOXE offers a wide range of products designed for practitioners of all levels, providing optimal performance, maximum durability, and safety at a very accessible price.

The brand enjoys a strong reputation among amateurs and professionals of combat sports. This reputation has been greatly influenced by the commitment of its founders, Jean-Jacques Cordomi and Marc Galinier (2 former professional athletes), whose expertise and passion have established METAL BOXE as a reference in its field.

Distribution is currently ensured through a network of specialized resellers (B2B) and online (D2C). 

METAL BOXE was recently handed over from its original founders to 2 new owners, thus entering a new chapter in the brand’s journey.

👉  Experience : significant experience in the field of export and/or international commerce.

👉 International mindset : excellent understanding of international trade dynamics, including logistical, regulatory, and cultural aspects.

👉 Appeal for action / combat sports : a personal interest for combat sport is a plus.

Skills

👉 Ability to work autonomously, with a strong initiative spirit, strategic approach and a sense of negotiation.

👉 Enjoyment of challenges, with an adaptable mindset. 

👉 Language Skills: proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of other languages would be a plus (specifically French).

Missions

1. Define brand’s export strategy

  • Develop and execute the export strategy to introduce and strengthen METAL BOXE's presence in international markets (focus on Europe).
  • Identify and analyze market opportunities to effectively target expansion efforts.
  • Identify and evaluate the best distribution channels to maximize the reach of METAL BOXE products in target markets.
  • Initiate discussions with various stakeholders : agents, distributors, retailers etc.

2. Execute the international expansion

  • Open local, multi-local or international key accounts
  • Lead negotiations (pricing, T&C’s) to open new doors
  • Lead the implementation of sales and distribution strategies across different channels and regions.
  • Attend international fairs (eg : ISPO) to connect with potential partners
  • Visit potential future partners in their home countries / HQs
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to design marketing campaigns specific to each targeted region, increase brand awareness and  drive brand presence in-store
  • Ensure all export activities comply with international regulations and standards of each country.

3. Ensure the performance thanks to reporting and analysis

  • Manage ongoing sales activities and seek out additional business opportunities.
  • Manage and visit (future) international key accounts
  • Regularly monitor international performance and adjust action plans accordingly.
  • Prepare detailed export activity reports for management, providing accurate analyses and strategic recommendations.
  • Readjust plans and strategies based on performance analysis and market feedback.

METAL BOXE is located in Toulouse (31), France. Frequent international travel is required. Relocation to Toulouse or ability to be present regularly in the HQs to bond with the team
