Our client
Samba Digital is a global company specialising in digital strategies for the Sport and Entertainment industries.
Its Executive Committee is 100% French, 100% remote, and had never had the chance to ask itself what it wanted to be for the organisation.
Bringing the Executive Committee together around a shared purpose: WHY?
In a 100% remote company, there was a need to build the Executive Committee's purpose and formalise it in order to align everyone around a shared vision. Since the company's founding, this was the first time they had held a discussion like this, with dedicated time set aside during their seminar. Putting this identity down on paper served two goals: helping them function together as an Executive Committee, and sharing it with all stakeholders. Because ultimately: what do we expect from our Executive Committees, and how can they be stronger together and perform with their teams?
The BOOST solution
We proposed a 4-hour workshop around the Executive Committee's purpose — the famous WHY, which must define a goal, a cause, or even a belief.
During this time, Committee members worked, in small groups and in plenary, on what they saw as the purpose of this collective, and on the key attitudes and method needed to put it into practice day-to-day, with a few very concrete solutions to apply as soon as the workshop ended.
Addressing specific needs
This workshop first and foremost gave people a chance to speak up, creating a moment of sharing for the Executive Committee — a formative moment they had never been able to have before. Alternating between group work, solo work and pair work allowed them to go through the process needed to find their own answers (yes, BOOST doesn't show up with the answers!).
The method was appreciated because it made room for individual and collective emergence, allowing everyone to take part in shaping this purpose.
Time for results!
A clear vision, a clear Executive Committee WHY, along with a few methods, processes and concrete actions to put in place after the workshop. A visual was even created to illustrate their vision of the Executive Committee, making it easier to share with the rest of the organisation!
