Missions
Context & Recruitment Challenges
Reporting to the Chief Business & Growth Officer, the Head of Hosting will lead Volleyball World's global hosting strategy across its international event portfolio, including Indoor and Beach Volleyball properties.
The role is responsible for identifying and securing host cities, managing the host procurement process and developing long-term partnerships with destinations, governments, tourism organizations, national federations and local organizing committees.
Working closely with commercial, media and event teams, the Head of Hosting will play a key role in supporting Volleyball World's international growth and expanding its global event footprint.
Hosting strategy & portfolio development
- Develop and implement Volleyball World's global hosting strategy.
- Identify and assess new hosting opportunities across international markets.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of host city opportunities.
- Contribute to hosting revenue objectives and portfolio growth.
Host procurement & negotiation
- Lead host city procurement processes from prospecting through contract signature.
- Manage tenders, bid evaluations and commercial negotiations.
- Structure hosting agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure contractual and commercial commitments are clearly defined.
Partnership & stakeholder management
- Develop long-term relationships with host cities, tourism boards, governments and event stakeholders.
- Represent Volleyball World during commercial discussions, presentations and site visits.
- Support host retention and agreement renewals across the event portfolio.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with Sponsorship, Media, Product and Event Operations teams.
- Ensure hosting agreements support broader commercial and operational objectives.
- Facilitate collaboration between hosts and Volleyball World's internal teams.

Expected profile.
Profile
- 10+ years of experience in sports business, event hosting, commercial partnerships or international event delivery
- Proven experience in host procurement, commercial negotiations and complex stakeholder environments
- Strong understanding of the commercial and operational aspects of international sporting events
- Experience working with international federations, rights holders, governments or host destinations is a strong asset
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
